Taco Eating Contest Rocks Clarendon Mexican Restaurant

Oh baby, its cold outside! Nothing warms up the soul better than a few tacos, so they say. Our Clarendon restaurant and bar held its first annual taco eating contest in hopes to crown the new Arlington Taco King!

Hundreds of people flocked over to Clarendon’s hottest tequila bar to watch who would take home the championship belt. A whopping one hundred taco lovers signed up for Monday night’s taco contest which was held on the second floor of Don Tito taco & tequila bar. Lets be serious, this is a face-stuffing contest. Who can stuff their face the fastest? Entry to the contest was just $20 and pretty much paid for your dinner for the night. The first five lively rounds of twenty people each were a race to see who could devour 10 tacos the fastest. Ten delicious tacos later, two contestants from each round made the finals. Each face, full of determination were given six tacos. Six tacos… who would be the last man standing? Everyone cheered on the contestants as they met eye to eye, taco to taco in a race to will the grand prize.
